Not feeling ashamed and making positive connections is a difficult part of recovery. We create volunteer opportunities that serve as a place to normalize recovery through positive action. By showing our communities what recovery can look like, we believe it will create bonds for the broken.
Lived experience can be a valuable source of information when learning about substance use disorder and recovery. When possible we are grateful to do presentations for middle and high schools. We are currently in the concept stage of building a local prevention presentation to be shared in and around Schuylkill County.
We are on what may be an endless quest to give strength to recovery. Goals are an important part of what drives this project forward. We have evolved to find ourselves in a very good position to bring hope filled ideas into the fold. Matters of the spirit - love, kindness, connection and creativity are the driving force behind our unique ideas. Check back soon to learn more about what we have in the vision works.
Countless times we have been asked by members of our community "How can I join the Skook Recovers?". GREAT NEWS! We are in the process of building a Skook Recovers Advisory Board. Check back soon to Learn more about the Advisory Board and how will soon be able to join The Skook Recovers.
