Q: Could you briefly tell us about yourself?
My name is Christopher. I am 42 years old. Born in Ashland Hospital. Lived with my mother in various place, Gordon, Danville, Ft, Stewart Ga. My teen life I lived in Ashland Pa. Into my 20’s I moved to St.Clair Pa. where I started my own family. Had a daughter who is now 16. Eventually moving to Pottsville where I reside now.

Alcohol, Meth, Pot

May 5th. 2014
Q: Looking back, was there a turning point during your active addiction?
When I became homeless, lost my family, including my daughter and my friends.
Q: What is a slogan that best expresses your current pint of view in recovery?
“One Day At A Time”
Q: What are some daily practices and key aspects in your life that assist you in your recovery?
I go to meetings and I carry the message to help others.
Q: As a person in recovery, do you have any advice you could offer to someone looking to get clean?
Get clean and sober now before it is to late and death is the final step you will make.
Q: Addiction is affecting hundreds in Schuykill County and abroad. It's very saddening. Any advice to people trying to help their loved ones to seek help?
Help them get help through Rehab without enabling them.
Q: Why are projects like "The Skook Recovers" important in this day and age?
To make the public aware of the help that is necessary.
Q: Tell us about the good things that your new life in recovery has brought to you and/or improved?
I got my relationship back with my daughter, my family and new friends. I like who I am today.

Recovery is the new wave of the future
